The companies

Cortese Società Cooperativa Agricola

Founded in 1934 by the Cortese family, the company has its roots in the Pontine countryside, where Pietro and Maria, pioneers of agricultural reclamation, began cultivating the land. With the commitment of the brothers Giuliano and Claudio, the Azienda Agricola Cortese Giuliano e Claudio was founded in 1992. The products have followed one another over time, moving from potatoes, carrots, kohlrabi, continuing with radishes and white turnips. Over the years, the crop varieties have been enriched with watermelon in the summer period, spinach and rocket in the winter and with lamb's lettuce grown throughout the year.

Today, the Cortese Società Cooperativa Agricola combines innovation and sustainability, with advanced washing, packaging and sanitization techniques. The cooperative focuses on quality and customer satisfaction, guaranteed by strict controls and compliance with regulations. Thanks to the collaboration between agricultural entrepreneurs, the company continues to grow, with a production philosophy that enhances product quality and respect for the territory.

Cortese BIO Società Cooperativa

The third generation of the Cortese family, led by Lorenzo Cortese, began a profound transformation of the company, creating Cortese Bio, a project based on sustainability and respect for the environment. With a far-sighted vision, Lorenzo has placed sustainability and innovation at the center of his agriculture model, choosing to obtain organic certification to guarantee a completely ecological and traceable agricultural supply chain.

Cortese Bio is also committed to reducing waste, thanks to a short supply chain that guarantees product freshness and lower environmental impact during transport. Each product is grown with methods that respect the local ecosystem, actively contributing to the regeneration of the soil and the conservation of biodiversity. In this way, Cortese Bio presents itself as a model of sustainable agriculture, aimed at offering consumers healthy, safe and completely natural products, while supporting an agriculture that safeguards the future of natural resources.

Agrieuropa focuses on advanced and sustainable technologies, demonstrating a strong commitment to ecological agriculture. The company has adopted photovoltaic systems that produce 270 kW of energy and uses 90% electric handling vehicles, thus reducing CO2 emissions. Quality and eco-sustainability are founding principles, confirmed by the certifications obtained, which attest respect for the environment, the authentic quality of the products and care towards workers.

In 2002, the cooperative expanded its cultivated areas, diversifying the crops to include nine main products: carrots, white turnips, kohlrabi, lamb's lettuce, rocket, spinach, baby spinach, radishes and watermelons, obtaining a prominent position in the market, increasingly attentive to food quality and safety.

The Cooperativa Orto di Campo manages 190 hectares and adopts sustainable agricultural practices, reducing the use of fertilizers and pesticides and guaranteeing quality controls in certified laboratories. With certifications such as GlobalGAP and IFS, the company ensures safety and traceability. It has also invested in modern cold rooms and packaging lines to improve operational efficiency and planned warehouse expansion. Thanks to the collaboration with a few selected suppliers, Orto di Campo provides uniform and traceable products, establishing itself as a reliable partner in the European market.
